The mission had to be done in late June, lives were on the line. The Kenn Borek Air Team flew their Twin Otter to the South Pole. After Landing the aircraft was prepared for the 12 hours on the ground in minus 60 degree centigrade temperatures with no shelter for the aircraft. Twelve hours later the rescue team is ready to go. Battery master on….engine start and off they go with their precious cargo….back to safety. Congratulations to Kenn Borek Air and the rescue team on a job impressively well done!
